Whew! What a week… the third year of my film festival SplatterFest is finally wrapped up. Such a great year, with great films, and an amazing special guest – Anthony Michael Hall. I was very excited to honor him with a Lifetime Achievement Award before the sold out screening of Sixteen Candles!
I’ll be writing full report over at the SplatterFest site, but this year was really special, and AMH stayed on site and engaged fans for 14 hours! That’s dedication.
ACTING DEMO
I just re-edited my acting demo… (yes, I act – it’s how I got into the Headshot biz). Watch me fight Chuck Norris! …And, btw, I cut demo’s as well if you need one.
ME & BRUCE CAMPBELL
Bruce Campbell (Burn Notice, Evil Dead, Army of Darkness) was a special guest at my film festival SplatterFest last year! It was so exciting to have him as part of the festival, and he was truly generous to all of our guests. Continued thanks to Bruce and Mike Estes for a great working experience, and I look forward to working with Bruce again in the future.
This year’s events are about to kick off with the short film competition starting Friday night at 6pm. There is still time to register your team! Ikan has come on board as a sponsor, and we have been able to expand the prizes offered.
Grand Prize is a Canon t4i Camera, and Ikan Flyweight DSLR Camera Support Rig. 1st Runner up will take home an Ikan VL5 Deluxe Field Monitor Kit.
BREAKING BAD
Congrats to my client Patrick Sane booking Breaking Bad. He made his network television debut tonight, and I am honored to have been part of the festivities.
Patrick came into my studio a little over a year ago for headshots, determined to make a life change from his regular job to that of a working actor. It is truly inspiring to see all that he has accomplished in such a short time.
Continued success to you, Patrick!
BEHIND THE SCENES AT SPLATTERFEST
I hosted a film industry mixer this past thursday for my film festival SplatterFest. Tracy Collins did a fantastic job interviewing contestants, with Jim Stamos running camera and Hector Luna of C-47 producing this behind the scenes spot.
There is still time to register for SplatterFest, and the festival takes place Oct. 2-6th at the Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park.
Anthony Michael Hall (BreakFast Club, 16 Candles, Weird Science) is this year’s special guest.
Filmmakers are competing for a chance to win a Canon t4i camera!
